Short family history, lol

When our beloved Great Pyr, Mafi went over the Rainbow Bridge at the end of October 2008, we were devastated. But we also knew that we want another dog, a similarly large but a much gentler one. Mafi was a very tough dog and he was unrealibale. We were also not prepared for such a difficult dog. When he was 7 months old we went to dog school and after a few classes the leader of the school asked us not to come to the next classes because Mafi pushed down the school leader's alpha male in 2 seconds, without fight. Thsi was not much of  help for us, unexperinced people. But this is another story....

We werelooking for another Pyr, maybe a female one this time. But none were available. It had to be puppy because of my Mom, who is afraid of dogs in general. Then one of our friends said that she saw the photo of a large white dog with black marks in the dog paper. We had a look, it was an ad for Landseer puppies. We recalled having met a Landseer at the vet some years ago, a huge and extremely gentle dog. I searched the net and found that landseers are gentle family dogs so we decided that this would be an ideal breed for us. We found the Jeke kincse kennel and immediately fell in love with a puppy called Eric, who had a small black markt at his mouth. Jéke kincse Erik alias Cimbi was born from Joseph von Hasetal and Olga von Libris Hort on September 8, 2008.
