Our Sir Lancelot

Cimbi play

Boxer and dobermann
This morning we met an old protegee of ours, a dobermann male called Verdo. Verdo came form a killpound and he was rehomed in Hungary. Unfortunately he is a very difficult dog as he  considers every other dog as enemy, he attacks and tries to kill smaller dogs and fights with larger dogs. We offered our help with his socialization. So this morning we met in the park, Verdo was in muzzle. He was not to happy to meet Cimbora but after the first half and hour so of walking together he started to understand that Cimbi is big but harmless. Then we met a pair of silly boxers and Cimbi had a big play,

Verdo

Seconds before the fight
Verdo realized that everybody was having a great time and he also wanted to participate. He even tried it akwardly and it is a big first step. Towards the end of our walk we met too Russian Hounds who were mean, they growled at Cimbi and one of them attacked Verdo... Verdo was in muzzle so he could not protect himself, owners were shouting of course and then Cimbora - our Sir Lancelot - saw that Verdo was in trouble and rushed to rescue him. When the other dog saw that 70 or so kilos of muscle was running at full speed against him, gave up and ran away. It seemed to us that Verdo also understood that Cimbi saved him and helped him...
We will meet again next weekend, I can't wait to see how the relationship between the two dogs develops....
