Typical Cimbora

I wish I could meet other Landseers as well to see whether all of them are like our Cimbi: full of action, but wanting to be as close to you as possible, gentle soft big thing. I find it very interesting to watch how he develops and how he behaves.
Saturday was the first day at school, the group was new, Cimbi did not know any of the dogs or the owners but for one dog. He walked from dog to dog and owner to owner, he quietly measured up everybody and everything. Sunday, his behaviour was completely different, he arrived to the school as the pack leader. He started to play with the other dogs and one by one he showed to each of them that he was the leader. He was not aggressive at all, he just put his head over the other dogs and pushed them down - if it was necessary. But he did this delicately, whitout growling, without any teeth showing. His dominance was obvious. It is also very interesting that at the school, when he is in the pack, he does not like strangers. He protects the pack. Sometimes passers by stop at the fence to watch the dogs, if he notices them he goes to the fence and barks at these people.

We always smile when the school trainers say that Cimbi is a difficult and dominant dog. But maybe there is some truth in it. Ok, he is not a difficult dog, at least comprared to late Mafi, our Great Pyr. And he is Daddy's and Mom's "little" baby, well you how I mean, lol

Cimbi is enjoying his life ... by the way my Iber is laying on me like that ... and when I watch tv on the sofa he will jump on my belly to sleep.
