Time flies

Taira and Cimbi often play together though Taira has suddenly grown old. She is almost 10 which is not so old for a tiny dog but her leg started to hurt because of arthrosis. We will go to the vet on Thursday for an X-ray and for cleaning her teeth.
While Taira is growing old, Cimbi is growing up - well, to some extent, lol. I think this because recently his sleeping habits have changed a bit: he does not spend the whole night in the bedroom with us. He rather spends the first part of the night in the hall, lying accross in front of the entrance door (??? some protective instinct maybe? ) - this is his favorite place also during the day (making it hard for us to come and go, lucky that there is the kitchen door to the garden too). In the morning he is there, by the bed, and he still wakes me up when he comes in and checks me but maybe the day will come when he can sleep alone, lol.
