Pedigree and eye problem

I was searching some documents in the drawer and I found Cimbi's pedigree.
Cimbi's official name is Jéke Kincse Erik, he was born on September 8, 2008. His father is Igor vom Hasetal and his mother is Olga vom Libris Hort.
We met both his parents when we travelled to North-Eastern Hungary to pick Cimbi up, both of them are  very large and beautiful and extremely friendly dogs.
Cimbora was born with eye problems, he has cataracta on both eyes and his sight is not perfect. He can see but his sight is not good especially in dusk and when the lights are too bright and he cannot see far. When we walk, he often mistakes a bench or a bush for a dog. The eye specialist said that nothing can be done about genetic cataracta, it is not a tragedy and the dog can have a full life with it, however if he develops old-age cataracta - which is usually operable - it cannot be operated and he may become completely blind.
We also had another eye problem, which according to the vet is genetic, the T-cartilege which holds the tear gland- was broken in his right eye and the gland fell forward. It had to be operated and we were not happy... The operation was in March 2009, Cimbora was only 6 months old. And this can happen to his other eye as well, at any time. The surgery itself is a delicate one and the best specialist has to be asked to do it because if the vet makes a mistake the sharp edge of the cartilege - which has to be cut - will constatly irritate the eye, it is like when sand goes in your eye and the life quality of the dog is damaged. (I know because this happened to a Landseer boy which came from the same kennel as Cimbi and his owners wanted to sue the breeder. I don't know what happened, we lost contact.)
We have a little problem even today, his operated eye is easily inflamed and produces too much tear, which sometimes irritates his nose. And his eyes are badly extropic, we don't know yet whether this has to be operated or not, he is still developing and we have to wait until he reaches his final size.
