Today 1500 kg dog food arrived to my house: donations collected by Dobermann Rescue Hungaria e.V (a German - Hungarian rescue team my hubby and I are members of) for rescued dogs living in Hungarian shelters or in the care of Hungarian rescue organizations.
/In Hungary most shelters are private organizations and get no help or minimal help from the state and the municipalities. It follows from this that shelters are incredibly poor and the conditions are grim (no, there are no heated buildings, only dog huts and it happens that not even those ...). Beside medical care, food is a major problem, especially in winter./
Cimbora and Taira were not allowed to come out during the downloading but when the lorry left, Cimbi's first thing was to check the donations and I am happy to report that he found everything in order. He was so happy about the whole thing that he started to run and play. And tonight a couple of rescue organizations and some foster families come to us to pick up the food, many of these rescue girls already know Cimbi and love him (is there ANYBODY who does not love Cimbora???) so it will be an exciting evening for all of us :))
